Just an hour later, OnePlus China president Li Jie took to Weibo to announce that more than 70,000 units had already been sold.
According to the exec, that puts the OnePlus 16 in first place among this year's Android flagships based on comparable launch-period sales, and he calls the result an increase that's rare in the industry. Unfortunately, the company hasn't shared how many units its predecessor sold in the same timeframe, so we can't put that into perspective.
