The first ever iPhone was unveiled in January 2027, and went on sale in June that year. Thus, in 2027 Apple is celebrating the iPhone's 20th anniversary. The company has long been rumored to be planning something special for this occasion, and today a new leak from Digital Chat Station on Weibo purports to bring us more information. According to the prolific leaker, Apple is working with Samsung on developing the 20th anniversary iPhone's screen. The panel will not have a polarizer, and will come with a quad-curved design, with the curvature radius customized by Apple. So after...

New batch of Sony Xperia 1 VIII renders detail its dimensions

We’ve got a new batch of renders for the upcoming Xperia 1 VIII, and they are our best look at the device yet. According to MyMobiles, we’re looking at the finalized design, and the source assures us they are based on the same CAD data used by Sony suppliers. They depict a familiar design upfront with a tall and narrow-looking display with the front-facing camera integrated inside the top bezel next to the earpiece. Earlier renders suggested we might see a punch-hole cutout approach, but it seems that’s not going to be the case. The new renders suggest the bezel width will be unchanged...

iPhone 18 now rumored to get one key upgrade after all

The iPhone 18 was recently rumored to come with some downgrades to keep costs low, including a display material first used in the iPhone 14 Pro in 2022. However, it's not all bad news for the iPhone 18, apparently. According to a new report, the device will come fitted with 12GB of RAM. That's up from 8GB on its predecessor, so it's quite a jump, especially seeing as how we're currently in the middle of a RAM pricing crisis thanks to AI data centers using up all of the production capacity. The iPhone 18 is said to be powered by Apple's upcoming A20 chipset, made on a 2nm process by...

iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and iPhone Ultra dummy units leak

Dummy units have leaked today showing the shapes of the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and iPhone Ultra (which is the name the iPhone Fold is rumored to actually get). The dummy units are created based on CAD renders sent to case makers, so they are usually accurate with the most important details - things like the overall shape and dimensions, as well as the shape and size of the camera islands. In the family shot above you can see that the iPhone Ultra is missing MagSafe support, which is an interesting omission for sure. We obviously can't tell if it has wireless...

vivo's upcoming flagship series will probably be called X500, to avoid the number 4 due to tetraphobia. These will of course be the successors to the X300 line. Today in China, prolific leaker Digital Chat Station has seemingly revealed what we can expect from the X500 family in terms of screens. While he doesn't mention the exact model names, he does say there will be one device with a 6.37-inch flat LTPO OLED display with 1.5K resolution, and another device employing a 6.83-inch flat LTPO OLED panel with 2K resolution. These are the camera upgrades coming to the next iPhone generations

Apple has twice so far been rumored to explore a 200MP camera for upcoming iPhones. The first time it was supposedly going to be the main camera, and then, a few days ago, we heard about a 200MP telephoto camera that would only arrive in 2028. Today a new leak from Digital Chat Station on Weibo clears up some of the confusion. According to him, Apple will launch a big camera update every year starting with the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max this September. Those two are getting the much-rumored variable aperture. Then, in 2027, the Pro models are allegedly going to come with a...

The OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra will be unveiled on April 28 (that’s Tuesday next week). Last week, the company posted details on the Ace Awakening design, which features the word “Ace” etched on the back of the device in a way that creates a 3D effect. Now OnePlus has revealed another look for the Ace 6 Ultra called “Metal Storm”. It’s a combination of a metal frame with a matte finish and a glass back panel with a “silk” texture. This texture is created by etching a nanoscale pattern that is soft to the touch but glitters in the light. The company says that it will shoo away...

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8 won't upgrade battery, charging

Last month, we heard that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8 will have a 4,300 mAh battery, the same as last year's Galaxy Z Flip7. A new rumor out of South Korea confirms it, while also shedding light on the Flip8's battery charging speed. The source claims that the Galaxy Z Flip8 won't get any charging speed upgrades either, meaning the smartphone will support 25W wired charging. That's not just the same as last year's Flip7, but also the Flip4 launched in 2022, as Samsung hasn't upgraded the charging speed on the Flip models since then. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8's leaked CAD-based render...

iPhone 18 to have some important cost-cutting downgrades, new rumor claims

The 'vanilla' iPhone 18 has long been rumored to miss its traditional September launch window this year. It's instead said to land next spring at the same time as the iPhone 18e, leaving only the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and the iPhone Fold (or is that iPhone Ultra?) to be unveiled at Apple's annual event in September. Now, a leaker from China claims that not only will the iPhone 18 launch alongside the iPhone 18e, but it will be more similar to the affordable model than you may expect. That's because Apple is allegedly going to cut some costs in the iPhone 18, we assume due to...

To use the new tools, select a face in a photo and choose one of the options: heal, smooth, under eyes, irises, teeth, eyebrows, or lips. Once you've selected an effect, you can then adjust its intensity. These tools are currently rolling out globally in the Google Photos app for Android, for devices with at least 4GB of RAM that are running Android 9.0 and later. Source
