Xiaomi is following the Redmi 12 from last month with a 5G version that just debuted in India. The Redmi 12 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 but is otherwise fairly similar to its 4G sibling. The new phone is also identical to the China-only Redmi Note 12R, except for the selfie camera. The Redmi 12 5G is built around a 6.79” LCD with a 90 Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution. The 5,000 mAh battery with 18W charging support is also shared with the Redmi 12. The camera setup is different, though, with a 50 MP f/1.8 main unit and a 2 MP f/2.4 macro camera instead...
