Huawei is bringing satellite messaging to its Mate Xs 2 foldable later this week. The brand is hosting a special developer conference in China on November 5 where it will share more details about the Beidou satellite support of the Mate Xs 2. The notable bit is that this would be the first foldable phone to support short message communication via satellite. The feature will be used for emergency situations when there’s no network coverage by letting users to share their location to local authorities and/or friends. And just like on the Mate 50 series it will only work in China....
